Saudi film "To My Son" screens at Cairo International Film Festival.

Egypt's Cairo International Film Festival has announced that the film "To My Son" by director and actor Zain Alabdeen will participate in the 45th edition of the festival as part of the Arab Cinema Horizons competition. The film, produced by MBC Studios, revolves around a Saudi father and son returning to Saudi Arabia after a long period of living abroad that ended in a tragic accident. This marks Alabdeen's second experience in directing a feature film, after he previously directed "Ghada" which earned him the FIPRESCI award at the 43rd Cairo International Film Festival. "To My Son" will be screened at various cinema theaters in Arab countries. Alabdeen is currently filming "Nose and Three Eyes," his latest film with director Amir Ramses and actress Sabah Mubarak. The film is a contemporary cinematic adaptation of the novel by the great author Ehsan Abdel-Qudoos, presented in a 1972 film. Alabdeen shared a photo from the film set on his official Instagram page, commenting: "From the set with my friend Amir Ramses, the director of the film 'Nose and Three Eyes'."
