Several stars from the entertainment industry visited the Marshal Tantawi Mosque in the Fifth Settlement in Cairo to offer their condolences to actress Dina El Sherbiny on the death of her mother. Among the mourners were Dina's close friends including Mohamed Imam, Hana Zahid, Aya Samaha, Maya Diab, Mohamed Tharwat, Eyad Nassar, Saba Mubarak, Gehan Al Shemeshergi, Rami Radwan, Donia Samir Ghanem, Hana Shiha, Ashraf Zaki, Rogena, and Mimi Gamal. Dina requested that photographers not attend the wake to preserve her privacy. Attendees included actresses Yasmin Raeis, Menna Shalaby, and Ola Ghanem, Karim Fahmy, director Mohamed Sami, comedians Chico and Sherif Mounir, Ashraf Zaki, head of the actors' union, Rogina, and Mohamed Imam. Dina El Sherbiny announced the death of her mother, five months after the death of her father. She wrote on her official Instagram account, "Verily we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return... My mother, Leila Sayed Abdallah, has passed away to God's mercy. Oh God, have mercy on her, unite me with her in your paradise. Oh God have mercy on her and grant her forgiveness to the extent of my longing for her. I kindly ask everyone to pray for her with mercy and forgiveness." The body was taken from Marshal Tantawi Mosque on Thursday and Dina looked devastated during the funeral procession. Egyptian actress Dina El Sherbiny also lost her father in April of this year and several stars attended the funeral and offered their condolences at that time, including Ahmed Dawood, Hana Shiha, and Donia Samir Ghanem.
