Egyptian actor Hisham Selim is being remembered on the first anniversary of his death at the age of 64 following a battle with cancer. Celebrities of the Egyptian and Arab entertainment industry have posted on social media to pay tribute to Selim, who acted in films including "Mamlaket Mim" ("Kingdom of Salt") and television series such as "Hagmet Al-motasalamin" ("A Ridiculous Mission"). "I loved your kindness, your sense of humour, your wit, and your honesty," wrote actress Menna Shalaby. Selim, who began his career as a child actor, also directed several movies and series.
