The cast and crew of the film "The Alexandrian" celebrated the start of filming at a special event at the Media Production City in Cairo. The movie is directed by Khaled Youssef and stars Ahmed El-Awadi, Zeina, and a number of other actors. Filming is set to take place in Alexandria for 45 days. El-Awadi signed on for the lead role in the film, his first in Egyptian cinema, after his success in the TV series "2023" and the film is Youssef's first return to cinema since "Karma". Zeina expressed her happiness on working with Youssef for the second time in this movie. Youssef praised El-Awadi's performance after three days of shooting. The rest of the cast includes actors such as Bioumi Fuad and Hussein Fahmy.
