Saudi Arabian artist Ghassan Masoud praised the film "Cello" during its premiere in Riyadh on Saturday. Based on a novel by Saudi advisor Turki Al-Sheikh and directed by Daren Bosseman, the horror film is set to be released in cinemas on September 14. Masoud hailed the Saudi film industry and said that it had a promising future ahead. "Cello" is Al-Sheikh's first novel and is set between the Italian city of Cremona and Riyadh, telling the story of a traditional family going through hard times. It stars Samer Ismail, Maia, Suad Abdullah, Mohannad Al-Hamdi, Elham Ali, and Khaled Saqr. Al-Sheikh, who runs Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, posted first promotional footage of the film and its release date on social media.
