Egyptian actresses Bushra and Ola Ghanem surprised audiences by attending a screening of their film “Awlad Haritna Kareem” (Our Bastard Children) at a cinema in Cairo. The stars also attended two other screenings last week, and turned up with a number of the film’s young stars including Teyam Mustafa Qamar, Karim Karim and Heba Dawood. The film, which opened last week, has performed well, earning more than EGP 3.5m ($398,000) at the box office. The picture, which depicts the struggles of a group of children born out of wedlock, also stars Dalia al-Behery, Basma and Khaled Sarhan. Its director is Ali Idris.
