Egyptian cinemas will showcase the Arab and Egyptian film "Shams" on Wednesday, September 6th through Four Star Films, which is primarily known for distributing many foreign films. This makes "Shams" the first Arab and Egyptian film to be distributed by Four Star in Egypt. The movie centers around the character of Khalid, who wakes up in a mysterious place with no recollection of how he arrived or when he arrived. Through a wandering vendor, he discovers that he is possessed by a jinn due to his repeated visits to a haunted park. Khalid decides to go back in hopes of finding a solution, where he remembers it was the place where he first met his love interest, Shams. He embarks on a perilous journey to find both her and himself, facing several dangers and difficulties until he is confronted with an unexpected revelation. The movie is the directorial debut of Mawad Ismail and stars Amr Abdel Jalil, Mahmoud Abdel Moghny, Khaled El Sawy, Ahmed Bedir, Hoda El Etreby, Mohamed Sliman, and Alaa Morsy. It is a combination of drama, suspense, and mystery with a script by Fawaz Al-Khreisha and artistic vision by Mohammed Al-Qoushti. The music is composed by Khaled Hammad.
