British film director James Christopher, also known as Jimbo, has died at the age of 52 due to complications from a heart condition in Los Angeles, leaving behind his wife Carly and four children. Christopher began his career in television and film production as a production manager on the film "Frederick Forsyth Presents" in 1989 before becoming a third assistant director on "Alien 3". He continued to progress throughout the 1990s, working as a second assistant director on many films before moving on to become a first assistant director and eventually a director. Christopher was set to direct the film "Fantastic Four," scheduled for release in 2025. Tributes flooded in from the entertainment industry after news of his death was confirmed. Fellow Star Wars director, Rian Johnson, said, “He was a good friend, JJ. I loved making movies. He loved his crew, he loved his job, he loved his history. He was truly one of the greats and this is a tragic loss for anyone lucky enough to work with him.”
