The Syrian film "Displacement," starring Kenda Alloush and Samer Al-Masri, is now showing in Egyptian cinemas.

Syrian film "Nazeef" directed by Soudade Kaadan and starring Kenda Aloush and Samer Morsi, is now being shown in Egyptian cinemas, with screenings at different times throughout the day. The film won several awards at over 20 international festivals in Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. Set in Syria during the conflicts of recent years, the film follows the story of Hala (Aloush) who, after a rocket destroys the roof of her house, sleeps under the stars for the first time and befriends a young boy in the neighbouring home. As violence escalates, her mother insists on leaving but her husband (Morsi) resists going into exile as a refugee. "Nazeef," which was shot in Turkey, was produced by Kaf Production and Berkeley Media Group, with the global Arabic distribution handled by MAD Solutions and sales by MK2. It premiered at the Orizzonti Extra competition of the Venice International Film Festival, winning the Armani Audience Award and Lancia Award for Best Short Film.
