Kareem and Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz hide their sadness while receiving an award in honor of their late father at the Cairo Drama Festival.

The late Egyptian actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz was honored at the Cairo Drama Festival in its second edition, and his sons Kareem and Mohamed attended the ceremony. While the audience was watching a video about the actor, his sons started crying. Mohamed, the son of Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, sent a message to his father's fans saying: "I know that my father is still with you, and I was afraid that when I produced something for my father, I would detract from his legacy. But thank God after the video that was shown, I added to his legacy because it exposed the great talent that he had." He continued, "Egypt is beautiful my friends, love it, this is my father's last will for me." Kareem Mohamed Abdel Aziz commented on the honor saying, "60 years in drama, most of those years my father had a big legacy, and I hope we can always maintain his name at the forefront." The youngest son, Mohamed, left a message to the audience, saying that his father is still with them, and that he grew up watching his father's work and always tried to find ways to prove his existence. He added that his father had a big legacy in the drama world, spanning 60 years, and he always hoped to maintain the name of the late actor on the surface.
