Kuwaiti actor Badr Al-Tiyar has died at the age of 72 after suffering from an illness that caused him to be admitted to a Kuwaiti hospital's intensive care unit last week. Al-Tiyar began his career in theater in 1978 and went on to become a beloved figure in the Gulf and Arab entertainment industries. He acted in dozens of dramas and plays with legendary actors such as Abdulhussein Abdulredha, Saad Al-Faraj, Hayat Al-Fahad, Suad Abdullah, Khalid Al-Nafisi, Ganem Al-Saleh, Daoud Hussein, and Hasan Al-Balam. Al-Tiyar also held a number of administrative and artistic positions with the Arab theater group. In recent years, he withdrew from the scene due to health issues that impacted his vision, hearing, and kidney function but was honored at the Kuwait Theater Festival for his comedic roles and contributions to the industry during his career.
