The new Egyptian crime series "The Giza Butcher" is set to premiere on August 25th on the streaming service, Shahid. The plot revolves around the pursuit by criminal security forces of one of the most dangerous, cunning and violent criminals during his criminal life of fraud, theft, impersonation, and serial killing. The show stars actors such as Ahmed Fahmy, Bassem Samra, Reem Hussein, Mimi Gamal, Hanan Youssef, and Salah Abdullah. The production took more than two years, and involved research with psychiatric specialists to build the psychological dimension of characters, as well as casting for select roles. The show was filmed in over thirty locations in Egypt and it is a new production for the Arab world, with high quality technical production.
