Several popular singers from the 90s recently performed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as part of the "Cassette 90" event, which was held as part of the "Jeddah Summer 2023" festivities. The event featured 90s music stars including Hamid Al-Shari, Simon, Mohammad Mohie, Hisham Abbas, Mostafa Qamar, Ihab Tawfik, Hossam Hosny, and Khaled Agag. Mohammad Mohie opened the show with a selection of his most popular songs, including "Qader Wa Tamleh" and "Etghenakt" to a great reception from the audience. Simon then took to the stage and performed a dance medley while singing "Mesh Nizrah Wa Ebtesama" and "Mashiya Wa Saaati Mish Mzabuta" to cheers and lively applause from the crowd. Mostafa Qamar shone in his performance of some of his classic hits, after which Hamid Al-Shari took to the stage to perform a dance medley set to his famous tunes. Hamid Al-Shari and Hisham Abbas set the stage on fire with their duet "Ayni" to which the audience joined in singing. The organizers of the event surprised the audience by bringing the legendary singer Mohamed El Helou on stage to perform a selection of his most famous songs, including altering the lyrics of the "Zizioni" series theme song by saying "And Ammar, O Saudi Arabia" instead of "And Ammar, O Alexandria," which sparked a wave of applause from the audience.
