Egyptian actor Mohamed Riyad has announced that the 17th edition of the National Theatre Festival, scheduled for 2024, will be named after Arab stage actress Samiha Ayoub. This follows the current edition being named after actor Adel Imam. The festival concluded with the presentation of awards in various categories, including Best Play, Best Director and Best Actor and Actress in various roles. The Best Play award was given to "My Lady, I," and "Yasin and Bahaia" won the award for Best Theatrical Production. The festival seeks to promote and showcase Egypt's theatrical talent.
