Egypt's 31st annual International Music and Singing Festival at Salah El-Din Citadel will run for 14 days, starting on 25 August. Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the event will feature 45 concerts including performances by new and established Arab and Egyptian artists. The event has a new format this year, designed to offer the public a wider variety of creative genres suitable for different age groups and social segments. Three concert venues will stage the festival, with the new outdoor stage sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and featuring large screens to facilitate convenient viewing for the 5,000-seat audience. The event, which debuted in 1990, has become one of the Ministry of Culture's most popular festivals.
