Lebanese artist Marwan Khoury has announced his decision to postpone having children indefinitely due to the current difficult and painful events in the world. Khoury, who was participating in the Nights of the Damascus Castle festival and held a press conference, explained that he was hesitant to bring a child into the world in the current climate. Khoury stated that while everyone encouraged him to have a child because of the emotional satisfaction it would bring him and his wife, Nada Ramal, he was afraid of bringing a child into this world at this time. The artist stated that he believes marriage is an important stage in life, but he is currently hesitant about having a child due to the difficult events that are taking place in the world. Khoury believes that having a child in these difficult times is a risk he is not willing to take.
