منحة زيتون, a well-known Egyptian actress, has passed away at the age of 63 after a battle with illness. The director Khaled Galal mourned her death on Facebook, saying "To God Almighty we belong and to Him we return. We ask you to pray for her soul and to bless her with mercy and forgiveness. The funeral prayer will be held this afternoon at Al-Nur Mosque in Abbassia." Galal shared a picture of the late artist, saying "The kind-hearted and authentic precious Munira Al Mahdi, may God have mercy on you and grant you a place in Paradise." Munira Al Mahdi, known by her stage name "Munira Al Mahdi" was born on January 18, 1958, in Cairo, and graduated from the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University. Active since the mid-’70s, she appeared in TV series and films such as “El-Zeer Salem,” “El-Deif,” “Raya and Sakina,” and “Ouija.”
