Lebanese singers Marwan Khoury and Samo Zein trade accusations over a song

Singer Samo Zain has responded to accusations made by fellow artist Marwan Khoury, who denied any similarity between his song "Yislamli Al-Li Beyghar" and Zain's song "Mesh Qader" released in 2005. Zain posted on his official Facebook page, stating that he respected Khoury as an artist and friend, but he did not believe his comments as they had been friends since Zain's early days in Lebanon and Khoury had been one of the first to congratulate him on his song. Zain also said he was happy that Khoury's new song had similarities to his own from 2005, which had become a classic over the years. Khoury had claimed that Zain had copied his song and explained that it was not uncommon for ideas to overlap between composers working within familiar musical structures, and that this similarity did not warrant the surprise expressed by Zain.
