Renowned photographer Brian Randall, the husband of Hollywood star Sandra Bullock, has passed away at the age of 57 after a battle with ALS, known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. According to reports, Randall kept his illness private, and passed away during the weekend. In a statement released by his family, they said that “Brian chose to keep his illness private in intimate family surroundings and remained optimistic until the end… His spirit, heart, and legacy will live on through the beautiful images he captured”. Alongside his prolific photography career, Randall also co-founded the non-profit group Art of Elysium, which connects artists with severely ill children. Founded in 1997 by Jennifer Howell, the group offers an outlet for artists affected by the Hollywood machine, and delivers interactive programs to hospitals, schools, special-needs youth centers, and other facilities.
