Lebanese singer Hiba Tawaji opened the Byblos International Festival

Lebanese singer Hiba Tawaji performed at the Byblos International Festival with musician Osama Rahbani, alongside political and artistic figures, including the ministers of tourism and justice. The festival programme for summer 2023 was unveiled, with many Lebanese artists and talents having previously performed on the Byblos stage. These include Tawaji and Rahbani, as well as Ghassan El-Masri, who will perform for the third time since 2010, and Alif Abi Saab, who has performed since 2001. For the first time, the festival will feature the vocal ensemble Philocalia and the Ishtrar band led by Marana Saad, with guest artist Carla Ramiya. American RnB singer Tyga will also perform at the festival for the first time. The festival is held in the ancient city of Byblos, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, with its programme featuring a variety of artistic events.
