Algerian singer Cheb Khaled wore traditional Saudi Arabian clothing during his recent concert in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Algerian Rai singer Cheb Khaled performed a concert in Riyadh as part of Gamers Season 8. He chose to wear traditional Saudi attire, an aqal and bisht, as a sign of appreciation and love for the Saudi people. During the concert, Khaled performed a diverse selection of his old and new songs, and the crowd responded enthusiastically by singing along. At the end of the show, Khaled revealed in media interviews that he chose to wear the Saudi outfit out of respect for and in order to better connect with the audience. Khaled is known to rarely appear in television interviews, but he recently spoke about his relationship with his parents during an episode of the show ABtalks. He revealed that his father used to physically abuse him and was against his entry into the music industry because he believed that musicians never get married. However, he praised his mother as being very supportive of his artistic endeavors and as helping him to have a peaceful childhood. He also spoke about the racism he experienced from his father's family, who had lighter skin than his mother. His grandmother used to refer to his mother as a descendant of slaves and would tell her to do menial tasks.
