Dubai is hosting its first-ever Esports and Games Festival from October 27 to 29 at the Dubai Internet City. Visitors can try out popular online games and attend workshops and discussions on the future of gaming. Confirmed games for the festival include Overwatch, FIFA 17, League of Legends, Street Fighter V, and Dota 2.

The Dubai Esports and Games Festival (DEF 2023) is taking place in Dubai until 25 June. The festival aims to set trends globally and in the Middle East region for the gaming and interactive tech-driven entertainment industry. With support from sponsors such as du, Emirates Airline, Emirates NBD, KitKat, Vox Cinemas, Alienware, Rove and Virgin, the festival will feature games from top industry giants. The PlayBeyond tournament will bring together top esports influencers and Foxrito will showcase the world's first ever hands-on showing of Darkness Road, as well as Emirati-made horror survival game Sawa Group. The festival will also have food and beverage outlets and a range of gaming experiences for the whole family. The event is held annually to bolster Dubai's position as a global hub for esports and interactive tech-driven entertainment.
