The Media Assets Specialist is responsible for managing media assets, content organization, archive workflows, and media lifecycle operations to ensure efficient access, storage, retrieval, and readiness of all broadcast materials. The role oversees the cataloging, metadata management, archiving, and preservation of digital media assets while ensuring content integrity, accessibility, and compliance with organizational standards. The Media Assets Specialist works closely with Programming, Content, Ingest, Traffic, Production, and Broadcast Operations teams to support content availability and optimize media asset utilization across the organization.

Manage and organize media assets across MAM and storage systems. Monitor content availability, storage capacity, and archive workflows. Coordinate with Ingest, Scheduling, Traffic, MCR, and Programming teams to ensure content readiness. Maintain accurate metadata, file naming, and media categorization. Support media transfers, restoration, backup, and archive processes. Ensure content is properly prepared and available for transmission. Monitor media workflows and report technical or operational issues. Maintain media management logs and operational documentation.

Experience in media management, MAM systems, or broadcast operations is preferred. Understanding of file-based broadcast workflows and media storage systems. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced operational environment. Good communication and coordination skills. Preferred Experience Experience with MAM, archive, and media storage systems. Knowledge of video formats, codecs, transcoding, and media workflows. Familiarity with broadcast operations and transmission environments is a plus.
