His passion started at the age of 13, where he participated in many school musicals. He started off as a drum player in the Kuwaiti Quartet, and was discovered by late musician Rashed Al Khedr. He composed Abdulla’s first single in 1981. From there he escalated on the ladder of success until he reached in 1990 “The Mohamadian Night” which was his boost to stardom in the Arabian Gulf. Legendary musician the late Mohamed Abdel Wahab expressed his admiration to Abdulla’s voice very much especially in the hit single “Allahom Laa Iterad” or “Oh Allah I do not Object” He was the first Arabian singer to sing in the Egyptian opera house. Abdulla was well known for his “singing for a cause”. He sang for Kuwait during the Gulf war, as well Palestine and now Iraq. He is currently compiling a grand musical with other artists that portray hunger and poverty.
