Sherif Hamouda is an Egyptian director born on January 6, 1926. He began his professional life at the beginning of the 1950s as an assistant director for the films Without Farewell...Read more in 1951, The Respectable Thief in 1953, and Demons of the Air in 1956. He directed the first of his long, narrative films in 1985 entitled Traders of Poisons. Hamouda also starred in a number of films, including Wahiba the Gypsy Queen in 1951, The Brown-skinned Woman of Sinai in 1959, Love on the Miami Shore in 1976. He also wrote screenplays for several films: The Final Visit in 1986, Betrayal in 1989, and Three Critical Hours.

The film's events revolve around (Sultan),a poor child who grows up and becomes a military correspondent for one of the major generals. He enjoys the kindness of (Issam),the police officer, the son of the general, unlike the rest of the family members who are cruel to him. He is forced to leave the general's house because his mother is sick, but she dies and he is unjustly accused. By stealing and abandoning service, he is punished by expulsion from the army and imprisonment. When he fails to prove his innocence, Sultan turns to the path of crime, so fate arranges for him an unwanted confrontation between him and the officer (Issam),whom he had always been sympathetic to before.The Three Adventurers
