The film received Best Screenplay Award at Cairo International Film Festival for its screenplay which was written by Ahmed Rashwan. Besides her role in Basra, Yara Goubran has taken part in the works of esteemed directors of the like of A’ly Idrees, Kamla Abou Zikry and Shereef A’rafeh.
