He was born on March 12, 1936 in a village in the Dakahlia Governorate . He studied at the Faculty of Arts, Department of Journalism. Later he tried several attempts in short...Read more documentaries: City (1971),Boredom (1972),and Cowboy (1973). He also participated in the preparation of some television programs on cinema, such as: "Stars and Films", and "Cinema of Yesterday and Today". He worked as a film critic for the "Radio and TV Magazine" until his death. He received many awards, including: Screenplay Award 1972 for the movie "City", and Best Directing for the movie "The Morning" in 1985.

Fares (Adel Imam) works in a shoe factory and lives in a room on the roof of a house after he separated from his wife because of his repeated beatings. He loves to play football (drinking) in the streets and popular squares in exchange for betting, which exposes him to dismissal from his job due to his extreme negligence. Fares tries to return to his wife, but she refuses. Meanwhile, an old friend who owns a car showroom offers to work with him.
