An Egyptian actor, born in Cairo on February 7, 1907 (or 1920 in other sources). His real name is Safaa El Din Hussein Zaki El Faydy, but he was known as Safa El Gamil or Safa...Read more Muhammad. He made his debut in the mid-thirties. He suffered from a speech impediment, but his words were understandable, yet people thought him mentally disabled. The director Mohamed Karim discovered him and gave him a small role in the movie Tears of Love (1935). Naguib El Rihani included him in his films and theatrical troupe. Among his films are: Salama Is Safe (1937) and A Widow Wanted (1965). He passed away on June 27, 1966.
