In a comic framework, the events of the film revolve around the miserly young man, Samir Abu al-Nil (Ahmed Makki),who lives in a popular neighborhood. As a result of his extreme miserliness, he encounters many paradoxes and problems with the people of his area, and increases their hatred for him for his mistreatment of them.
