Al Sharnouby thus convinces Salah, portrayed by Adel Imam , the former owner of a metalworking workshop on the same block, to enlist in the plan. Salah agrees to testify against himself and to say that he was the one who had burned the building in exchange for a sum of money, a new workshop and a place to live in.
