She began singing at a young age, and in 1941 she was approved as a singer on the Egyptian radio and married the writer,...Read more producer and director El Sayed Ziada, who wrote many songs for her and nominated her to work in films, where she began by playing supporting roles, and in 1950, she landed starring roles by performing the character Khadra in several films, such as The Adventures of Khadra (1950),and Khadra and the Southern Sinbad (1951). In 1956, she joined the Ismail Yassine's theater troupe, with which she presented the play I Want a Millionaire. She retired in 1967, after presenting more than twenty films. She died on February 7, 2003, after undergoing brain surgery in Paris.
