Ahmed Awad is an Egyptian director. He was born in Alexandria in 1966. He studied film directing at the Academy of Arts' High Institute of Cinema in Cairo, and was appointed as an...Read more assistant professor in the Institute's staff following his graduation. He also completed a PhD in film directing. He worked as an assistant director with a number of important directors including Youssef Chahin and Aly Badrakhan. He is known for directing highly commercial films. His directorial debut was in the comedy Like That in Zamalek in 2002, which he followed by Call Mommy, I Want a Divorce, Katkout and Bon Soiree.
