She wished to be a doctor and the grades did not allow her to fulfill her wish. She got her bachelor’s degree in 1975 with a grade of very good. She worked in the Radio and Television Union as an employee in administrative and financial affairs. She got married to her cousin, Doctor Samir Qassem, professor of ophthalmology, after graduation. She went to London to obtain her doctorate and lived in London for 5 full years. She was influenced and shaped her idea of the media from her frequent viewing of programs on European television. She gave birth to her daughter in London and Karim in Ireland. She returned to work in the Meet the Generations program and it lasted for 10 years. She presented the Good Morning Egypt program. She was offered to act in 1961, but the family completely refused. She became the head of the first channel in 2003 and continued until 2005. She was offered twice to run for membership in the People's Assembly on behalf of Abu Hammad, but she refused. She was appointed as a forum member in the Media Production City.
