An Egyptian sportswoman, TV presenter, and a film actress. She was born in Ismailia Governorate in 1943. She practiced swimming, rowing, and cycling. She won championships at the...Read more state level at the end of the fifties and early sixties. She came to Cairo and joined the Faculty of Physical Education, Cairo University and graduated in 1963. She passed the exams for announcers on Egyptian TV and worked as a link announcer and presented many successful programs such as "TV magazine", "Games and Entertainment", and "Sports for All". In 1963, she married journalist Mamdouh Zaher, head of the television news sector and director of newspaper censorship, and got two sons, Ahmed and Khaled. She presented some cinematic roles, most notably in the movie Convergence (1977) with Mahmoud Morsi, Madiha Kamel, and Suhair Al-Morshedy. After her husband's death, she married businessman, Hanafy Farag and got a daughter. She was forced to quit her job on TV because of her husband's political position after President Sadat took power. She took part in the Correction Revolution on May 15, 1971. She worked in the Ministry of Youth and after a short period, she left government and established a factory for ready-made clothes and then worked in the field of real estate trade.
