Ahmed Galal is an Egyptian director, writer and producer, born in 1897, and worked at the beginning of his life in the press in the illustrated newspaper Al-Latif, as well as at...Read more Dar Al-Hilal, then went to the cinema and got acquainted with the Lebanese actress and producer Asya, who was assigned the responsibility of directing the movie When Women Loves. After that, he continued writing and directing a number of films, including: The Return of the Absentee, Zulekha Loves Ashour, and Shajar al-Durr. He died in 1947.

Bahira Hanem inherits a large sum of money from her late husband, and becomes the focus of attention of wealth seekers, everyone trying to win her over and asking for her hand, especially Rashid, Aziz, Hosni, and Safwat. She gets fed up and goes to her estate, promising them that she will return in a month to celebrate her birthday. On that occasion, she will announce the name of her chosen groom, and travels to Luxor to escape herself and her circumstances. There she meets a poor young man named Ahmed, whom she admires, so she decides to pretend to be poor in order to discover the truth about his feelings.
