He is famous for acting in: Without Farewell (1951) and The Greatest Men in Islam (1970),in addition to the series Muhammad is the Messenger of God (1985). He is the poor fisherman, Hosni's father, in the movie Days Without Love (1962),and the role of the fisherman, Hassanein uncle, in the movie I Killed El-Hanash (1985).

As Magdy, a contracting company's owner, is sentenced to prison for failing to pay the company's debts, he tells his wife that he is going on a business trip, and he learns in prison that his wife died and his daughter went missing during a German raid.
