A Lebanese actor and playwright, born in Zabbougha. He studied history and geography at the Teachers' School and graduated from the Jesuit University. His acting talent appeared at...Read more the age an early age. In the late fifties, while studying history at Saint Joseph University in the Oriental College, he began his theatrical activity on the university stage, yet his first professional theatrical work was in Morocco in the play Ruins and Night. He cooperated with Mounir Abu Debs until 1968. He made several films, beginning with Garu (1965). His start on TV, however, was late, as it came in 1974 through the series Les Miserables. He married the poet, journalist and painter Laure Gharib in 1966, with whom he had three children; Walid, Rola, and Mazen.
