An Egyptian author, born in 1931. He was educated at the Religious Institute, Zagazig, then he obtained a diploma in education from the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University....Read more He holds a BA in Arabic. He worked as an Arabic language teacher at the Ministry of Education, then was appointed editor-in-chief of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Cairo for 12 years. At the beginning of his literary life, he published a group of short stories in Al-Resala magazine from 1949 to 1952. He received the State Encouragement Award in 1972 for his novel Back to Exile about the life of the Egyptian revolutionary Abdullah Al Nadim. He died on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
