George Clooney criticizes New York Times report on his and Brad Pitt's salaries in Wolf

George Clooney has criticised reports of his and co-star Brad Pitt's salaries for their latest collaboration, the film "Wolfs," directed by John Watts, after it premiered at the Venice Film Festival. During a press conference at the event, Clooney criticised an "interesting article" in The New York Times which claimed that he and Pitt had received over $35 million for the film. Claiming that whatever their salary source was, it was "millions and millions and millions of dollars less than what's reported," Clooney said, "I only say that because I believe it's a bad thing for our industry if that's what people think the salaries are. It's an obscene amount of money". "Wolfs" will have a limited release in cinemas around the world on 20 September, followed by its first appearance on Apple TV+ on 27 September.
